I cannot get passed   Login as:  

I fairly certain Ive entered everything correctly to this point. I see my ec2 public dns in the banner.

I tried $ ssh =1 ... with my public key, ami, public dns

I tried login as &quot;root&quot;

I copied everything from the dashboard, what am I missing?
